The Kingdom of Forgiveness

I looked up the idiom: “Hope springs eternal,” and it is often said when “you continue to hope that something will happen, although it seems unlikely.” I found that last part interesting (although it seems unlikely), especially because the idiom itself was tied to a lot of social media posts about the Chicago Cubs… hoping that something will happen that seems unlikely. Yeah, that sounds about right. Those who stood on the roadside that day in Jerusalem hoped for something unlikely—the coming of the kingdom of our ancestor David! Little did they realize what was unlikely was not only happening, but it was about to happen in a way unlike anything they could have imagined! Hope springs eternal.
