Merely Tender Grass

 In 2004 the song, Live Like You Were Dying by Tim McGraw debuted at #1, sold millions of copies, and won a Grammy for “Best Country Song.” The impact of the song was far reaching, leading people to think deeply about life: how we live, why we live the way we do, who we live life with, and what impact our life has on the lives of others. Lent is a historic 40 day season in the Christian year leading up to Easter in which congregants are encouraged to examine their lives and ask questions similar to those prompted by McGraw’s song. We will explore together these deeper questions over the next forty days, and see how Jesus invites us to live like we were dying.
