Pentecost Sunday 2023

There are times I really enjoy listening to Celtic spiritual music. You should give it a listen sometime. Irish Celtic lore, especially in the Christian tradition speaks of “thin places” where the veil between this world and the eternal grows thin, where mystery is manifest in the landscape. It can also be a moment in which our sense of the Sacred is more pronounced, where the space between the transcendent and the commonplace is exceptionally narrow. Thin places, for me, are where I can EXPERIENCE the presence of God more acutely. Where are your thin places? How do you experience the presence of God? As we celebrate Pentecost this Sunday we will see how the disciples and others experienced the presence of God by the Holy Spirit in a thin place!
